Theresa Uken, 90, of Sunnyside died Wednesday. Mrs. Uken was born in Kanawha, Iowa. She was a homemaker and teacher. She taught in Kanawha before moving to Sunnyside in 1947, and taught public schools in Mabton, Sunnyside and Granger, and later at Sunnyside Christian School. Survivors include two sons, Charles and Robert; a sister, Pearl Seebeck; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Viewing and visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church. Burial will follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Garden. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
