Clarine Baker passed away on July 10th in Kingwood, TX. She died peacefully at the age of 87 years. Clarine Gwendolyn Morrison, daughter of Irvin and Hattie Beshey Morrison, was born on January 31, 1921 in Woolstock, IA. She was raised in Woolstock. She married Wesley Baker of College Springs, IA on November 11, 1939. They made their home in Webster City, IA and Minneapolis, MN. They had two children: Ron and Sheryl. Clarine also resided in Rogers, AR and Kingwood, TX. She worked as a legal secretary for 45 years. Clarine was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronald Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Diedenhofen of Kingwood, TX; four grandchildren; and ten great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, LaVonne (Mrs. Richard) Gabbert of Rogers, AR and Verldean (Mrs. Virgil) Bell of Des Moines, IA. A family gathering was held on Sunday, July 13th at the Kingwood Funeral Home.

Clarine Morrison Baker, 87, Texas

Clarine Baker passed away on July 10th in Kingwood, TX. She died peacefully at the age of 87 years. Clarine Gwendolyn Morrison, daughter of Irvin and Hattie Beshey Morrison, was born on January 31, 1921 in Woolstock, IA. She and her two sisters, LaVonne and Verldean, were raised in Woolstock. She married Wesley Baker of Webster City, IA on November 11, 1939. They made their home in Webster City and had two children: Ron and Sheryl. Clarine also resided in Minneapolis, MN; Kingwood, TX; and Rogers, AR. She worked as a legal secretary for 45 years. Clarine enjoyed active memberships in many community organizations, including the Methodist Church, the League of Women Voters, several Book-of-the-Month clubs, and her legal secretary sorority. She was known by all to be an elegant and gracious woman. She loved reading, singing and playing the piano. She remained a steadfast member of the Christian faith throughout her life.

Clarine was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronald Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Diedenhofen of Kingwood, TX; four grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, LaVonne (Mrs. Richard) Gabbert of Rogers, AR and Verldean (Mrs. Virgil) Bell of Des Moines, IA.

A family gathering was held at 2:00 on Sunday, July 13th at the Kingwood Funeral Home.
