Paul F. Sampson, age 67, son of the late Rev. Perry Sampson and Helen Sampson, former Story City residents; died Sunday, May 14, in Dayton, Washington. Paul was born in Nezperce, Idaho on Jan. 19, 1939 and attended school in Clifton, Texas, and Leland, Iowa, before moving to Kanawha, Iowa, with his family in 1951. He was a 1957 graduate of Kanawha High School and received a degree in mathematics from Iowa State University in 1960. Paul went on to graduate study at the University of Wisconsin. He worked initially as a computer programmer at UCLA in Los Angeles, California in the Department of Bio-Medical Research and later with BMDP, a private consulting firm in California.

Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Peter, and his father, the Rev. Perry Sampson. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Helen Sampson, a resident of the Kanawha Community Home, Rm. 108, Kanawha, Iowa 50447; his sisters, Susan (John) Meyer of Holland, Michigan, and Norah McCorkle of Okanogan, Washington; his sister-in-law, Patricia Sampson of Kanawha and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Garden City, Iowa.
