KANAWHA - Ben "B.J." Wilkinson, 83, died Wednesday (Jan. 6, 1999) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kanawha United Methodist Church with the Rev. Susan Detwiler officiating. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Ben "B.J." Wilkinson was born Sept. 14, 1915, in LuVerne. Survivors include his wife, Pearl Wilkinson, of Kanawha; one daughter, Jayne Schnell, of Kanawha; one son, Jon Wilkinson, of Kanawha; one sister, Cecil Larson, of Kanawha; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, two half-sisters, and two half-brothers.
