SERVICES FOR FORMER RESIDENT TODAY

Services for Mary Anna (Mrs. Clinton) Norris of Marshalltown, a former area resident who died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1981, were held Saturday, Nov. 28 from the Harrison Funeral Home, Tama, with the Rev. Thomas Bower, pastor First United Presbyterian Church, Marshalltown, officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Tama. Pallbearers were Frank Davenport, James Davenport, Jerry Schultz, Dennis Schultz, Mike Mott and Gordon Mott.

Mrs. Norris was born August 27, 1893 the daughter of William and Amanda Greenwood Mott at Melvern, Kansas. She moved with her parents to Tama in 1912. On November 25, 1915 she was married to Clinton D. Norris at Tama. They moved to Eagle Grove where they made their home until 1954 when they moved to Marshalltown. Mr. Norris died in 1971. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Henry, Frank and Clarence. Survivors include a sister, Abigail Sechna, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
