June 27, 1996LEONA OZBURN, 80, died June 25, 1996, at a local care facility. She was a retired school teacher and owner of Falcon Food Store and Falcon Meadow Campground. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1128 E. Boulder St. Burial will be in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Mrs. Ozburn was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Garner, Iowa, to Thomas and Sadie (Stanerson) Thompson. She was married Feb. 15, 1941, in Marion, Iowa, to Gerold "Jiggs" Ozburn, who died in 1977. She is survived by a son, Jim of Falcon; a daughter, Delia of Falcon; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Mrs. Ozburn earned her bachelor's degree from Colorado College. She taught for nine years in Iowa and for 20 years at Stratton Meadows in Harrison School District. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa education sorority and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ruth Circle and retired group. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1958, previously
