MILLVILLE, IL -- Graveside services for Francis Joseph Stupka, 78, of Millville will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Millville Cemetery. David Stupka will officiate. Visitation will be from -- to -- p.m. Thursday at Allen -- Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.

Mr. Stupka died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Shasta Healthcare for Redding. Born May 7, 1922, in Wisconsin, he moved to Shasta County in 1982 from Lake Tahoe. He owned and operated -- family farm. Survivors include sons David of Dothan, Ala., and Donald of Sacramento; daughters Diana Eich of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Dorothy Wilson of Millville, Darlene Peterson of Sioux City, Iowa, Delores Suydam of Chico, Donna Mae Ogle of Hernando, Miss., Debra Novak of Lancaster, and Doris Jean Albrecq of Relmond, Iowa; brother Edward of Kanawha, Iowa; sister Rose Unger of Garner, Iowa; 27 grandchildren; and 32 greatgrandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Allen -- Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro.

Frank J. Stupka, 78, of Millville, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Shasta Convalescent Care in Redding, Calif. Services were held Feb. 9 at Allen and Dahl Funeral Home in Palo Cedro, Calif., where David Stupka officiated. Burial was in Millville Cemetery.

Mr. Stupka was born May 7, 1922, in Owen, Wis., the son of Anton and Christina Stupka. He married Rose Steinwandt on Sept. 8, 1942, in Clarion, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Clarion area until 1964, when they moved to Sioux City. They managed the DX Service Station at 4th and Center streets until 1967. They later moved to California. His wife died in 1994.

Survivors include seven daughters, Diana and her husband, Jim Eich of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Dorothy and her husband, Tom Miller of Millville, Darlene and her husband, Bernard Peterson of Sioux City, Delores and her husband, Bob Suydan of Chico, Calif., Donna and her husband, Art Ogle of Hernando, Miss., Debra Novak of Lancaster, Calif., and Doris and her husband, Bill Albrecq of Belmond, Iowa; two sons, Donald and his wife, Monica of Orangevale, Calif., and David of Dothan, Ala.; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Unger of Garner, Iowa; a brother, Edward of Kanawha, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two sons-in-law, Leon G. Bradfield and Elvin "Buddy" Wilson; and a grandson, Kenneth Olausen.
