AMES, IA - Doris Sharp, 90, of Ames, died June 30, 2008, at home. Service is 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ames, with Rev. Dr. Todd Jenks officiating. Burial is in Clinton Garfield Cemetery, Rolfe.

Doris was born Nov. 13, 1917, at Rolfe, to B.C. and Martha Idella (Twig) Budolfson. She has lived in Ames since 2000 and previously lived in Vincent. She was a farm wife and teachers aide in Eagle Grove Community Schools. She married Raymond Sharp June 27, 1938 in Rolfe. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge, served on the Webster County Board of Extension, taught Sunday School, enjoyed playing bridge, was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining.

Survivors include children, Janice Sharp of Ottawa, IL, Jerald Sharp of Grand Lake, CO, Joan Ingwersen of Ames; grandchildren, Bruce Sharp of Omaha, NE, Lisa Burns of Tucson, AZ, Darren Sharp of Olathe, KS, Bill Ingwersen of Atlanta, GA; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward Budolfson, Christian Budolfson and Albert Budolfson; and one sister, Marie Budolfson.
