Harriet Mae Seniuk, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, took her last breath on the evening of May 8, 2008. She fought a very short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Harriet was born on July 30, 1924 in Goldfield, Iowa to Harry Moyne Bennett and Mabel Hannah Anderson. She was the oldest of 5 children. She was preceded in death by her sister Roberta J. Muder, brother Dale E. Bennett, and grandson Sean Michael Seniuk. She is survived by her husband Peter Seniuk, to whom she married on July 24, 1943, brother B. G. Bennett, sister Betty Bo Duncan, children Daniel Seniuk and Petra (Peaches) New, and grandchildren Shane Seniuk and Keeley Seniuk. At the age of 6 she moved to Arizona with her family and attended Madison No 1. Harriet graduated from North High School where she was a member of the ROTC. During the war she was a riveter and worked on airplanes at a plant out in Goodyear. She was a cashier at A.J. Bayless, manicurist at several barbershops around the valley and a realtor in the latter years of her life. Harriet loved to travel and go to church, and she especially had a passion for bowling. She also loved to read and work crossword puzzles as well as watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 17, 2008 with viewing from 10 to 11 am at Hansen Chapel, 8314 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Make A Wish Foundation, as each of these organizations had an impact on her family & life.
