Irene H. Brinkman, 81, a resident of West Ridge Care Center, died there Friday after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and after noon Monday at the chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorene "Sandi" Pugh of Cedar Rapids and Judith Mahannah of Golden, Mo.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Irene was born Nov. 26, 1911, in Dows, and married Rudolph A. Brinkman on Jan. 23, 1934, in Clarion. He died Jan. 25, 1988. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her husband, daughters and grandchildren.

The Rev. Jerry Springston of First Baptist Church-Church of the Brethren will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Valley Humane Society.
