Waterloo -- Thelma C. Buckton Frost, 99, of the Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, IA, formerly of Waterloo Died at the Center Thursday, March 15, 2007. Thelma was born on August 2, 1907, in rural Marshall County, Iowa, the daughter of D. Frank and Jennie (Folkerts) Allen. She graduated from Dows High School in 1925. Thelma married Thomas W. Buckton October 8, 1928. He preceded her in death after 36 years of marriage on October 11, 1964. She married Taylor Frost June 2, 1973. He preceded her in death after 11 years of marriage on July 11, 1984. She is preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Donald, Harold, and Willard; and sisters Lela, Marietta, and Dorothy. Thelma was a graduate of the Waterloo School of Practical Nursing (1959), worked as an LPN at St. Francis Pediatrics, and was employed with Medical Associates from 1961 to 1969. She is survived by her sons John A. (Mary), Urbandale, IA, and Thomas J. (Anne), Grays Lake, IL. Thelma is also proud of her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at Locke Funeral Home (319-233-6138) with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank you for your many acts of kindness and expressions of sympathy.
