Amy Snyder, 98, of Iowa Falls died of a stroke Wednesday at Scenic Manor there. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls, with burial at Union Cemetery there.

Mrs. Snyder was born in Dows and had lived there and in Popejoy, Radcliffe and Garden City before moving to Iowa Falls. She was a schoolteacher, a farm wife and a home health aide and had worked for Iowa Falls Care Center before retiring. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls and many local clubs.

She is survived by two sons, Duane of Iowa Falls and Loren of Pleasant Hill a daughter, Beverly Messenger of Des Moines two sisters, Florence Stotser of Iowa Falls and Ruby Branson of Hampton a brother, Phillip Erickson of Port Ludlow, Wash. six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold V.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amy Snyder Memorial Fund, 16123 N. Avenue Iowa Falls, IA 50128 or may be left at the funeral home.
