March 29, 1931 --- September 4, 1993

Donovan "Don" Mc Clure, 62, of 1621 S. 15th Ave. W., died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1993 at the Skiff Medical Center of cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Memorials in his name may be sent to the Smith Funeral Home, P. O. Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Survivors are his wife, Jeraldine; two sons, Colin of Grand Island, Neb., and Owen of Rochester, Minn.; three daughters, Romaine Fenner of Grinnell, Jennifer Federsen of Marion and Mikki Halverson of Kansas City, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert of Klemme and Max of Tama; and two sisters, Joyce Markham of Belmond and Mary Ellen Ersland of Menominee, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Mc Clure, an Army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict, had farmed in the Belmond area, had been employed by the King Construction Co. in Iowa Falls and for the past 20 years had worked as a construction superintendent throughout the United States and Canada for Todd and Sargent Construction Co., of Ames. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge, both of Grinnell, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American legion.

The son of Roy Manford and Eva Angeline Thiel Mc Clure, he was born March 29, 1931 in Marshalltown, was graduated from Belmond High School and attended Iowa State University in Ames. He was married to Jeraldine Jenison April 29, 1956 at Belmond. He also had resided in Colo and Grinnell.
