Nadine Viola O'Connor, 74, daughter of Hilda Satre Streuber and Conrad A. Streuber, was born April 4, 1910 at Woolstock, Iowa and passed away November 11, 1984 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. She entered the hospital Saturday morning.

Nadine graduated from the Randall schools and later moved to Jewell where they owned and operated the O'Connor Cafe. For twenty years they lived in Arcadia, Calif. and returned to Jewell three years ago. On July 24, 1929 she was married to Claude Wadell O'Connor at the Little Brown Church. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, BLCW of the church and Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one son, Jimmie O'Connor of Sierra Vista, Calif., three daughters, Betty LeMaster of Glendora, Calif., Barbara McKay of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Claudine Scheele of Fountain Hills, Ariz. Her father, Conrad A. Streuber of Jewell, one brother, Donald Streuber of Jewell and a sister, Harriett Hemphill of Cedar Rapids. Also seven grandchildren, Michelle LeMaster Partner, Brian McKay, Julie LeMaster Holmes, Timothy McKay, Kevin O'Connor, Lance Scheele and Shannon McKay and a great grandson, Joshua McKay.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 2:00 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell with Rev. Otto Zwanziger and Intern Scott Grorud officiating and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell. Scott Grorud, accompanied by Mrs. Harry Harman, sang "He Touched Me" and "O Take My Hand". Pallbearers were Lloyd Buckels, Jr., Marshall Headley, Merlin McFarland, Gerald Peterson, Sterling Lund, and Wayne Samuelson. Don Barkema wll be an honorary pallbearer.
