Lorrene E. Abramson

Lorrene E. Glaman was born November 7, 1923 in Jewell [Iowa] to Martin and Emma Ellen (Knox) Glaman. She grew up and attended school in Jewell. On April 28, 1942, Lorrene married Claude L. Abramson in Bethany, Missouri. She was a cook for over 40 years in Jewell restaurants, including the Royal 400 Cafe, the Coffee Cup, and the Gem Cafe. Lorrene loved to play 500 with friends and held many card parties. She was a member of the Federated United Church of Christ in Jewell. Lorrene died Tuesday, January 5, 1999 in Clarion at the Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 29 days.

Lorrene is survived by her husband - Claude Abramson of Jewell; a daughter - Linda and her husband Ronald Graves of Dublin, Texas; a son Martin Abramson of Jewell; a son-in-law - Donald Bonner of Slovakia; a sister Lucille Luick of Belmond; 7 grandchildren - Jennifer and her husband Gary Weber, Donald Graves, Ronald Graves II, all of Denver, Colorado, Mary Kay and her husband Kip Thorson of Great Bend, Kansas, Trudi and her husband Jim Miller of Pecos, Texas, Kenneth Bonner of New Hall, California, and John Bonner in China; and 7 great grandchildren - Stacie, Kayla, Bryce, Katelyn, Kendra, Jimmy and Steven. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter - Patricia Bonner in 1978.
