George T. Warren Sr., 65, of 606 North Almond Drive, formerly of North Brookfield, Massachusetts, a manager for many years, died Friday at home after an 18-month struggle with cancer. He leaves his wife, Betty (Tumblin) Warren; two sons, George T. Warren Jr. of Ames, Iowa, and Robert M. Warren of Attleboro; four daughters, Cynthia L. Payne of Holden, Pamela Stebbins of Charleston, W.Va., Marcia Doherty of Spencer and Beth O'Neill of Webster; four brothers, James J. Warren Jr. of De Kalb, Ill., William "Bill" and Patrick Warren, both of Naples, Fla., and Dr. Richard Warren of New Orleans, all formerly of North Brookfield; a sister, Catherine Rozzen of De Kalb, Ill., formerly of North Brookfield; 11 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Ware, son of James J. Warren Sr. and C. Regina (Sullivan) Warren, and lived here most of his life.

He then lived a year Clarion, Iowa, before moving to Simpsonville in 1989. He graduated from St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1954.Mr. Warren was a location manager for De Kalb Agresearch Inc. in North Brookfield and Clarion, Iowa, where he worked for most of his life. He retired in 1989. He was an incorporator of North Brookfield Savings Bank and a board director of United Cooperative Farmers here for many years.

A funeral service was held in Cannon Funeral Home, Jones Chapel, 603 West Curtis St., Simpsonville, S.C. Burial was at Fountain Inn, S.C. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 414 Pettigru St., Greenville, S.C. 299601.
