Margaret E. Adams, 94, a long-time Kenmore resident, died Saturday (Aug. 22, 1998) in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Born Margaret Eddy in a farmhouse in Clarion, Iowa, she attended Monmouth College and worked in a variety of secretarial positions and as a bookkeeper. She helped her son, Clayton L., run the Children's Bookstore in Kenmore and Williamsville in the late 1970s and early 1980s and was popular with children, who loved to have her read to them. She was a member of Deerhurst Presbyterian Church in the Town of Tonawanda. The founding pastor was her late brother, Henry W. Eddy. Besides her son, she is survived by three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Deerhurst Presbyterian Church, 257 Deerhurst Park Blvd.
