Dean W. Collis, 81, Des Moines, Iowa, and a winter resident of Englewood, Florida died April 10, 2000, in Des Moines of cancer. He was born Jan. 18, 1919, in Glidden, Iowa, and was the owner and operator of Collis and Collis Insurance Co. He was a member of the Barber Shop Choir in Englewood. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Steve of Ankeny, Iowa; a sister, Mavis Cramer, and a stepbrother, Don Cramer, both of Clarion, Iowa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services and burial were in Des Moines where Hamilton's Funeral Home was in charge.
