Kenneth Guy Jacobs -- A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2000, in Sunset Hills Memorial Park for Kenneth Guy Jacobs, who died April 9 at age 88. Mr. Jacobs was born Dec. 1, 1911, in Clarion, Iowa. He moved to Portland in the early 1930s and owned Alberta Sanitary Service until about 1961, and then was a fitter for Gunderson Bros. for 15 years before his retirement in 1976. In 1932, he married Irene Melcher; she died in 1997. Survivors include his son, Thomas; daughter, Joyce Hall; and three grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances to Talking Books and Braille Services, State Library Building, Salem, OR 97310-0645. Arrangements are by Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary.
