THE REV. HAROLD S. HUFFORD, 85, of Inverness, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (Dec. 10, 1996) at Mariner Health Care Center, Inverness. Born in Larksville, Pa., he came here in 1976 from Allentown, Pa. He moved to Inverness in 1991. He was a retired Baptist minister and served a church in Belmond, Iowa, for many years. He was founder of the Joy Hour Evangelical Meetings for Children, special programs at Baptist churches throughout the country. He was a professional piano tuner. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and New Testament Baptist Church, Floral City. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ethel; four daughters, Ethel-Alice Aungst and Lilly LaBell, both of Bethlehem, Pa., Barbara Hartman, Walnutport, Pa., and Judy Veszpremi, Nazareth, Pa.; a sister, Edna Richardson, Newark, Del.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
