GERALDINE VIOLA MCPHERSON

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1997, in St. Aidan's Episcopal Church for Geraldine Viola McPherson, who died Feb. 20 at age 79.

Mrs. McPherson was born Nov. 9, 1917, in Belmond, Iowa. Her maiden name was Ashpole. Her family moved to Oregon, and she graduated from Rainier High School in 1936. She worked for Jantzen Knitting Mills and Bayly Manufacturing Co. In 1938, she married Glen T.; he died in 1978.

Surviving are her sons, Larry of Salem and Ronald of Gresham; sister, Beverly Bennett of Belfair, Wash.; brothers, David Ashpole, Bud Ashpole and Ray Ashpole, all of Portland; friend, Bob Harmon of Hoquiam, Wash.; and four grandchildren. Private interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
