Marion L. Scott, 74, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away April 20, 1997, in a local hospital. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 1997, at Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa. Cremation. The family will receive friends at their home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests contributions to Kansas Head Injury Association, 9401 Nall #105, Shawnee Mission, Kansas 66207.

Marion was born February 9, 1923, in Belmond, Iowa. She worked for James Mahoney Insurance Agency for ten years. She belonged to several local bridge clubs, Overland Park Golf Association, St. Andrew's Golf Association and TOPS.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Thompson. Survivors include her husband, Duane, of the home; son and daugher-in-law, John C. and Terri Thompson, Chattanooga, Tennessee; step-daughters, Rachel Scott and son-in-law, Gerald Ulleberg, Eveleth, Minnesota, Sarah Scott, New York City, New York, and Caroline Scott, Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Olivia Ann Cory; and grandsons, Peter Thompson and John C. Thompson II, brother, Harold Mack, Clarion, Iowa, Ruby Alderson, Ocala, Florida.
