A retired carpenter who had lived in Vancouver for 19 years, Ward Graham Popham died Jan. 28, 1996, in Vancouver. He was 91. A memorial service was Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Mr. Popham, born March 26, 1904, in Belmond, Iowa, was a 50-year member of the Carpenter's Union, last affiliated with local 131 in Seattle. He was a 14th degree Masonic member and was also a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was very fond of his cat, Checkpoint.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita, in 1978, and his second wife, Alice. Survivors include one daughter, Pat Vichas of Vancouver; one brother, Donald Popham of Hazelhurst, Miss.; and three grandsons.
