Lois M. Nordby, 82, Lewiston

Lois M. Nordby, a resident of Lewiston for nearly 60 of her 82 years, died Saturday Aug. 19, 2000, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center at Lewiston with her children, Bill Siverly of Portland, Ore., Patricia Siverly of San Francisco, and Diane Siverly of Seattle by her side.

One of seven children, Lois Mary King was born on Jan. 11, 1918, to Minnie Myrtle Wiley and Albert Edward King in Belmond, Iowa. She married Ralph Eugene Siverly in 1939 and they moved to the Lewiston area shortly thereafter. Ralph passed away in 1969. Lois was an active in the Methodist Church, CampFire, and Cub Scouts. She was a member of the Priscilla Whitman Chapter of the Lewiston Mother's Club. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening, bowling, bridge, her kids and grandchildren.

Lois married Clarence Nordby in 1978. Together they enjoyed travel, dancing, boating and motorcycle riding. Lois served on the Board of Directors of the Lewiston Orchards Irrigation District from 1984 to 1988.

In addition to her three children, Lois is survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vassar Rawls Funeral Home in Lewiston.
