ROWAN, Iowa --- Della Frances Reese Ketchum, 83, Rowan, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at a Fort Dodge, Iowa, hospital. She was born April 1, 1917, in Reading, Minn., the daughter of Fred and Gusta Kleveter Reese. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and taught school in a one-room schoolhouse. Mrs. Ketchum was a member of United Church of Rowan and the Progress Club. She married Paul Ketchum on July 14, 1940, at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He died in 1992.

Survivors include a son, Bern Ketchum, Topeka; a daughter, Linda Williams, Hartland, Wis.; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at United Church of Rowan. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Rowan. Tenold Funeral Home in Belmond, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
