MASON CITY - Barbara K. Dalluge-Leach, 53, of Minneapolis, formerly of Mason City, died Friday (March 26, 1999) at the Augustana Nursing Home, Minneapolis. She fought a courageous battle to the end. She had resided at the Augustana Nursing Home for the last 18 months and had made many friends there who will miss her dearly. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City.

Barbara K. Dalluge-Leach was born July 8, 1945, at Mason City. She is the daughter of Mrs. Paul (Loretta) Van Ness Sr. and Wilbur Dalluge. Barbara attended Grafton grade school and graduated from Newman High School in 1964. She married Eugene Leach from Dows on Sept. 17, 1966, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mason City. Barb was a hard worker and was employed at D.B. Rosenblatt Co., M. Liman Co., and Minnesota Diversified Industries, before going to the Augustana Nursing Home. Barb's hobbies were her animals, music and crocheting. Her family and friends will dearly miss her hearty laugh and her considerate, kind ways.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving husband, Eugene Leach of Minneapolis; her mother, Mrs. Paul (Loretta) Van Ness Sr. of Mason City, and her father, Wilbur Dalluge, Mason City; two sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Bendickson, Lawrence, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis (Robin) Hart, Mason City; one brother, Ron Dalluge and his wife, Cheryl, Mason City; four nieces and three nephews; one special friend, Jill Dinneen, Florida; and a special pet, her dog, Tango. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel.
