THOMPSON, Iowa -- Laura A. Nelson, 100, died Saturday (September 28, 1996) at Lake Mills Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Thompson, with the Rev. Perry Fruhling officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Winter Funeral
Home in Thompson and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Laura A. Nelson was born November 7, 1895, in Dows. Survivors include her son, Leslie Nelson of Hartland, Minn.; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one son.
