Death Claims Aged Lady
Mrs. T. G. Wilber [Elizabeth] died at 5:25 o'clock last Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fisher Wressell in this city. Mrs. Wilber suffered an attack of influenza last winter, since which time she had been in constantly failing health. She came to Hawarden the first of June to make her home with her daughter. About five weeks ago she suffered a paralytic stroke and had been bedfast most of the time since then. She suffered two subsequent strokes and failed rapidly until the end came.

Mr. and Mrs. Wressel accompanied the body to Eagle Grove Sunday afternoon where funeral services were held at the Funeral Home there Monday afternoon, with Rev. W. G. Muhleman, pastor of the Methodist church of Eagle Grove, in charge. Interment was made in the family lot in the Eagle Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson G. Wilber was born in Cayuga county, N. Y., in January, 1844, so lacked but two months of being 83 years of age. Her parents were Dr. and Mrs. Andreas Hiserote. With her parents she came to Iowa when a young girl and for nearly 75 years resided in Hardin county, this state. Her family was among the first to locate in Hardin county. She was united in marriage with Mr. Wilber at Steamboat Rock, Iowa, in 1867. Mr. Wilber died twelve years ago in Cedar Rapids. She was the mother of four children but one son and one daughter preceded her in death. Two daughters survive, Mrs. E. R. Nichols of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Fisher Wressell of Hawarden. She is also survived by one brother, Geo. Hiserote of Hubbard, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Wressell have the sincere sympathy of their Hawarden friends in their loss.
