June 12, 1997CLARION -- Shirley Mae Nichols, 67, of Clarion, died Tuesday (June 10, 1997) at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday and a Vigil for the Deceased at 7 p.m.
Shirley Mae Nichols was born July 10, 1929, at Whittemore. Survivors include her husband, Eugene; children, Robert E. of Cedar Falls; Royann M. Rutledge of Algona; Ronald J. of Hiawatha, Kan.; Rochelle T. Graham of Burt; Rita K. Becker of St. Joe, and Rebecca Steiner of Clarion; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six brothers, Ralph, Mike and Donald, all of Cedar Rapids, and Bob, Stanley and Tom, all of California; and three sisters, Carol McGuire and Ida Rose Barone, both of Algona, and Alice Flock of La Crosse, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and three sisters.
