February 22, 1856 -- August 2, 1931

Jacob F. Buck was born in Ogle Co. Ill. the son of George and Susan Buck both of whom were natives of Penn. He received his education in the country schools of Black Hawk Co. Iowa, after leaving school he was a farm hand until 1879. At that time he purchased some land in Dayton Township. He farmed in Lincoln and Dayton township until he moved to Clarion for his retirement. He married Margaret Watson Dec. 13, 1879. To this union three children were born: The first died in infancy, George, who died in 1892, and Robert Fredrick of this city. He leaves to mourn his going in the immediate family, his son Fred; two grandchildren Russell and Bernice Buck; and two half brothers Nelson and Ed Buck of Chicago. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.
