Jane DeEtte Davison, 93, formerly of Clarion and currently of Boone, passed away Thursday (Feb. 14, 2008) at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone. She had been a resident at the home since March 2004. She was born on Dec. 23, 1914, in Mason City, the daughter of James E. and Alice R. (Fisk) Williams. On July 28, 1937, she married Robert L. "Bob" Davison at First Congregational Church in Mason City. Jane graduated from Mason City High School in 1932, Mason City Junior College in 1934 and received her bachelor of arts in business in 1936 from Grinnell College. She an avid sports fan following the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes, liked to spend time at the cottage on Crosslake, Minn., and enjoyed being with her friends and family. She was a member of UCC Congregational Church in Clarion; PEO Chapter FS; AAUW and was awarded 2004 Woman of the Year; American Legion Auxiliary; I-Club; Kensington Club, and was an Honorary Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club.

Her parents; husband, Bob; a daughter, Lynne Oberg; a granddaughter, Amy Sprecher; two great-grandsons, James and Dane Sprecher; a sister, Ruth Paschal; and an infant brother preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Diana Weddell and her husband, Jim, and Sue Snider and her husband, Jim, all of Boone; a son-in-law, Art Oberg of Burnsville, Minn.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb, 19, at First Presbyterian Church in Boone with Dr. Richard Harken officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City with the Rev. Patti Aurand officiating. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church in Boone with the family present during that time to greet friends. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to the Wright Medical Foundation of Clarion Foundation for Boone Area Humane Society; or the Hearth Stone Memory Care Unit at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone.
Arrangements are with Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Boone.
