Eva Mae Dickson, age 86, passed away in Klamath Falls, Ore., on Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. Private interment has been held. A service of remembrance will be held on March 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Braund officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Friends of Pets, 239 Main St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601, or to the Klamath Crisis Center.

The youngest child of Ivah Blanche (Breckenridge) and James Dickson, Eva was born and raised in Clarion, Iowa. Following graduation from high school, she moved to Klamath Falls, where she graduated from Interstate Business College in 1943. Eva quietly served others and enjoyed being a part of the community. She served as president for several organizations, including Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, Klamath Tourist Committee, Credit Professionals Inc., Credit Association of Oregon, Oregon State Business and Professional Woman, and Quota Club. She served as treasurer on the board of the American Cancer Society and the Klamath Crisis Center. She also served as secretary for 50 years with the Klamath Community Concert Association and 13 years with the First Presbyterian Church. In addition, she served on the Snowflake Festival organizing committee. Eva worked as a secretary for numerous companies in Klamath Falls. She also owned and operated All Star Business Service for five years.

Survivors include her nieces, nephews, and their spouses Eldonna M. Clark, Diane and John Hankins, Carolyn and Wilbur Harnsberger, Barbara Mack, June Tillman, Jim and Nellie Pease, and David and Claudia Pease; grandnieces and grandnephews and their spouses Jonna and Jerry Enman, Robert Clark, Howard Clark, and Brian Clark, Gene Hankins, Jeffrey Hankins, Travis and Traci Hankins, Gary and Janie Orem, Anthony and Linda Tillman, Arizona, and Tara and Dennis Epperson; and numerous great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Raymond Dickson, her sisters Elsie Pease and Marie Tillman, and a nephew Robert Tillman. O'Hair & Riggs Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
