Humboldt — Mary Arthur, 82, of Humboldt, passed away November 4, 2007 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Lang officiating. Internment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, at The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. Arthur is survived by her daughter, Pat (Greg) Middleton of Goldfield; son, Don (Toni) Grove of New Prague, Minn.; Grandchildren, Todd (Sarah) Middleton, Debra (Ron) Edler, Darin (Julia) Grove, Brian Grove, and Jeremy (Patty) Grove; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Grove of Fort Dodge; and sister Cydora Streff of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orvin; and brothers, Roger, Albert, and James.

Mary (Grove) Arthur, the daughter of Ernest and Gladys Grove, was born August 28, 1925 in Ortonville, Minn. The family later moved to Gilmore City where she attended Gilmore City schools. On September 1, 1946 she was united in marriage to Orvin Arthur. The two made their home on the family farm near Eagle Grove where Mary worked as a homemaker. They lived on the farm until their retirement in 1995, following their retirement they moved to Humboldt. Mr. Arthur passed away in 2002 and Mary continued to take care of her home until she passed away last Sunday. They were both members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eagle Grove.
