Donna M. Brinker, age 74, of Lake View, IA passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City IA, surrounded by her family. Donna was born November 13, 1932, in rural Lake City, the daughter of William P. and Matilda (Snyder) Dinges. She and her family made their home in Carroll and later moved to Early and then to the Lake View area. Donna received her education by attending parochial schools in Carroll and Early and graduated from the Lake View High School in 1951. In 1953 Donna was united in marriage to Kenneth Duane Brinker in Wall Lake. To this union five children were born, Michael, Deborah, Jeffory, Maureen and Theresa. The family lived in Auburn until moving to Lake City in 1973. Donna worked for Stewart Memorial Hospital for 23 years as a C.N.A. and ward clerk. In 1985 she moved to Morristown, NJ to work as a nanny and moved to Merced, CA in 1994. She was a day care provider and helped raise her grandchildren. Donna returned to live in Lake View in 2006. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and belonged to the guild. Her hobbies and interests include crocheting, raising her grandchildren and being with friends. Donna's faith and her church were very important to her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael and his wife Teresa of Clarion, Jeffory and his wife Laura of Merced, CA, Maureen Castaldi and her husband Dino of Auburn, and Theresa Chatham and her fiancé Scott Knight of Merced along with her 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a great grandchild to be born in October. She is also survived by he siblings, Mona Lou and Kenneth Pugh of Lake View, Ruth and Wayne Mohr of Sac City, Alice and Ron Harmeyer of Goldfield, Donald and Kay Dinges of Sac City, and Patsy and Roger King, of Lake View. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deborah and brother, David Dinges.

Mass of the Christian burial will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wall Lake, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 on Friday at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View where there will be a Rosary at 4:30 and a vigil service at 7:30.
