Mildred A. Simmons (1907-2005)

CEDAR FALLS — Mildred A. Simmons, 97, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, July 14, at Memorial Hospital, Tampa, Florida. She was born Nov. 13, 1907, in Eagle Grove, daughter of Ira and Sena Larson Adson. She married Hollis J. Simmons April 24, 1926, in Webster City. He died Dec. 8, 1982. Survived by: a daughter, Winnie (Keith) Curry of Tampa; and a grandson. Preceded in death by: a sister, Selma McMahon. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: may be directed to the American Lung Association.
