A memorial service for Helen Juanita Lambert of Hillsboro will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Lane Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Eugene. Interment will be in the memorial gardens. She died of heart problems Monday in a Hillsboro care center. Mrs. Lambert was 84.

She was born Nov. 20, 1908, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She married Irving Lambert Jr. on June 14, 1925, in Portland. Mrs. Lambert was a homemaker. She lived in the Eugene and Springfield areas for about 50 years before moving to Hillsboro in March. She had served as a deaconess at the First Baptist Church of Eugene.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughters, Patricia E. Reed of Richmond, British Columbia, and Janice May of Umpqua; brother, Willard E. Johnson of Scappoose; sister, Dorothy Carpenter of Springfield; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her son, Russell Lambert, died in 1979. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Eugene First Baptist Church.
