Brother of Three Clarionites Dies

Mike Thul, 56, of Whittemore, former Clarion resident, died of a stroke Tuesday afternoon at St. Anne's hospital at Algona. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Michaels Catholic church at Whittemore. He is survived by his wife and six children: William of the U. S. army, Mrs. Ben Heinz of Blackwell, Okla., Edward, Darlene, Jimmy and John, all at home. He is also survived by two brothers, Ed Thul of Clarion and Casey Thul of St. Joseph, Mo., and five sisters, Mrs. John Grey of Spencer, Mrs. Henry Mishak of Alta Vista, Mrs. Agnes Clemmens of Ft. Dodge, Mrs. S. W. Parks of Clarion, and Mrs. Pete Schumacher of Whittemore. He was preceded in death by one brother, Peter Thul of Clarion, and two sisters, Mrs. George Harris of Mason City and Mrs. Marie Seifert of Detroit, Mich. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Thul of Clarion. In 1924 he was united in marriage to Clara Dahlhouser of Whittemore. They made their home on a farm near Whittemore, and have lived there since that time.
