Accident Victim Buried at Belmond

BELMOND — Funeral services for Arthur W. Leonard, 28, were conducted on Sunday afternoon at the Congregational church. Rev. A. B. McKeith officiated and Fulton funeral home was in charge. Casket bearers were Henry Kurtz, Bud Fischer, Fred Hausker, James Cronen, Pete Edinson and Jack McElligott. Burial was in Belmond cemetery. The deceased was born in Belmond and was a graduate of Belmond school He specialized in music in college and was prominent m orchestra work. He met his death enroute to Rochester from Red Oak, Minn, in an auto accident, and is survived by his mother, Mrs Erma Leonard of near Belmond, and four sisters, Mrs Robert McAlpine and Mrs. C. Taylor of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. L. Tegland of Belmond and Mrs. K. Severson of Clarion. His father preceded him in death in 1917.
