Aged Woman Dies At Moline, Ill.

Mrs. John Schnell, 75, former resident, of Goldfield, passed away Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Broadfoot in Moline, Ill. Mrs. Schnell spent 23 years of her married life as a resident of Goldfield and the past four years has lived with her daughter in Moline, Ill. She is survived hy nine children: Mrs. Reiny (Mary) Beisell of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. James (Mary) Broadfoot of Moline, Ill., Henry Schnell of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Kenneth (Elizabeth) Berg of Rock Island, Ill., Paul Schnell and Mrs. Katherine Humphreys of Galt, Sander and Fred Schnell of Goldfield; 28 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist church with Rev. F. C. Greene officiating. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery in Goldfield.

Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Schnell was born in Russia, Feb. 11, 1878. Her maiden name was Miller. She married John Schnell, Dec. 31, 1896, in Russia. They moved to the United States in 1906, proceeding to Harrington, Kan. The deceased was of German Lutheran faith. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Frank C. Greene, pastor The Methodist church in Goldfield on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1953, at 2:00 P.M. The hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" were sung by Leonard Madison. The organist was Mrs. Glen G. Braden.
