CLARION — Lawrence M. Maxon, 74, of Clarion, died Thursday (Nov. 12, 1998) at the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, with a Masonic service at 6 p.m.

Lawrence M. Maxon was born Aug. 9, 1924, near Webster City. Survivors include his wife, Elma, of Clarion; children, Patricia S. Larson, of Grinnell; and Larry S. Maxon, of Galena, Mo.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
