LIVERMORE - Lucille (Marso) Lenertz, 84, of Livermore died May 13, 2002, at Osage Hospital, Osage, Iowa. Services will be held Saturday, May 18, 10:30 a.m. at Scared Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Livermore.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the Harris Funeral Home in Livermore where a Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Lucille was born September 12, 1917, to Joe and Mary (Altman) Marso in Harold, SD. She graduated from Pierre High School in 1935. She also attended Fort Dodge Beauty School and worked as a beautician in Eagle Grove, Livermore and Humboldt. Lucille married Alvin J. Lenertz on November 21, 1939. The couple built a home in Livermore and lived there fifty-eight years. She moved to Osage in September of 1997. Survivors include a son Robert and wife Alyce Lenertz of Davenport, and daughters Mary with husband Don Henry of Sisseton, SD, and Sharon with husband Roger Koehler of Rudd, IA. She had twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Jim Marso of San Jose, Calif., and Eugene Marso of Los Angeles, Calif. Her three sisters Beverly Cranston of Oxnard, Calif., Pat Christopolous of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jackie Fox of Palcentia, Calif., are still alive. Preceding her in death was her husband Alvin in 1996, three sisters and one brother. Lucille was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore, and had made quilts for "Afghans for Angels." She was also an avid card player.
