KANAWHA-- George "Dutch" Evans Jr., 80, of Kanawha, died Monday (June 16, 1997) at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kanawha Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David A. Lee. Burial will be in Amsterdam Township Cemetery, with graveside services by the Kanawha American Legion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. The family has requested memorials be given to the Wright County Health Care/Hospice in memory of "Dutch."

George "Dutch" Evans Jr. Was born Feb. 5, 1917, in Woolstock. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Evans of Kanawha; two daughters, Diane Brink of Clarion, and Gail Paulsen of Spencer; four grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Evans of Stanhope; John Evans of Colorado, and Ed Evans of Webster City.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
