October 27, 1997Arlene M. Langhoff, 66, of 702 S. Tyler, Mason City, died Saturday (Oct. 25, 1997) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Kenneth Hatland officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. There will also be a Women of the Moose memorial service at 6 p.m. tonight at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Arlene M. Langhoff Memorial Fund.
Arlene M. Langhoff was born Aug. 22, 1931, the daughter of John D. L. and Tena (Sandman) Pals, in Alexander. Arlene attended and graduated from Clarion High School. She worked as a pharmacy technician for North Iowa Mercy Health Center for 34 years. Arlene married William F. Langhoff on June 9, 1975, in Carson City, Nev. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary Post No. 733 and the Women of the Moose.
Survivors include on daughter, Carla Thomazin of Mason City; two sons, Lynn Marchant and wife, Carol, of Klemme and Thomas Marchant of Mason City; eight grandchildren, Chris, Tiffany, Shauna and Shannon Thomazin, Jeff Marchant, Angie Kluckhohn and Jeremy and Jaime Marchant; one great-grandchild, Kia Marchant; two sisters, Helen Schnittjer and husband, Edward, of Clarion and Mary Isaacson and husband, Lenvil, of Melbourne; and five brothers, Arthur Pals and wife, Marge, of Dows, George Pals of Rowan, Wilbur Pals of Belmond, Herbert Pals of Belmond and Jerry Pals and wife, Eilene, of Belmond. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
