WEBSTER CITY - Jay Anderberg, 47, of Webster City, died Thursday (Oct. 21, 1999) at Hamilton Hospital. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at the Amsterdam Cemetery, west of Kanawha, with the Rev. JoAn Skyrme officiating. Mr. Anderberg's body was cremated and there was no visitation. Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, was in charge of arrangements.

Jay Stanley Anderberg, son of Stanley and Ardella (Severson) Anderberg, was born April 14, 1952, at Mason City. He graduated from Mason City High School and North Iowa Area Community College. On Feb. 23, 1991, he married Nancy Groom Helland at Rowan. The couple resided at Kamrar, then Webster City. He had been employed at Frigidaire for nine years. He was a member of the United Church of Rowan.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; stepsons, Michael Helland, in the U.S. Navy in Virginia, and Christopher Helland of Fontana, Calif.; his mother, Ardella Anderberg, of Mason City; a brother, Jim Anderberg and his wife, Jean, of Vienna, Maine; a sister, Vicki French, of Mason City; and three nephews, two nieces and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his father in 1977.
