BELMOND -- Gertrude Alice Eggers, 91, of Mason City, died Tuesday (April 29, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Tenold Funeral Home Chapel, Belmond, with the Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Belmond Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The body will be cremated.

Gertrude Alice Eggers was born Feb. 13, 1906, in Marshalltown. Survivors include one son, Lon D. Eggers of Sparta, Wis.; one daughter, Shirley Bloom of Mason City; one brother, Lloyd Wagoner of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; four sisters, Treva Jones of Belmond, Dorothy Schroeder of Clarion, Ruby Klinefelter of Belmond, and Patty Blau of Latimer; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one grandchild.
