Dr. Maurice F. Baker, 83, of Clarion, died Sunday (Feb. 8, 1998) at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in the Galt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home in Clarion.

Maurice Frank Baker was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Britt. Survivors include his wife, Beth; three sons, Whitney Merle, Cordelia, Calif.; Steven Maurice, of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and Sidney Gorton, Clarion; and one daughter, Adrian Baker Campbell, of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Merle W. Baker, of Lincoln, Ill.; and Dr. Ross Baker, of Brookings, S.D.; and one sister, Rachel Lamoreux, of Fremont, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, one infant daughter and one infant twin son.
