Darrell W. Evans, 69, of Clarion, died Monday (Dec. 9, 1996) at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ Congregational, with the Rev. Curt Miner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, with military rites by the Clarion American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Darrell W. Evans was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Dows. Survivors include two daughters, Terry Kreitlow and Jayne Pate, both of Clarion; two sons, Sterling Chytry and Steven W. Evans, both of Clarion; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ellen Barnes of Putney, Ga.; Darlene Watts, Clarion, and Lois Patterson of Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
