Marion Veldhouse, 77, of Clarion, died Tuesday (Dec. 10, 1996) at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery, Kanawha. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home.

Marion Veldhouse was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Kanawha. Survivors include his wife, Ila Mae of Clarion; two daughters, Darlene M. Harrell of Mesa, Ariz., and Janice McMahon, Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Pearl Wilkinson and Jennie Arends, both of Kanawha. He was preceded in death by his parents.
