Lilly Emile Johnson, 87, Dows, died Friday (Oct. 18, 1996) at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Vernon Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn Kappelman officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Elledge Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Lilly Emile Johnson was born Feb. 3, 1909, on a farm near Galt. Survivors include her husband, H. Peter, of Dows; daughters, Donna Brookins and Sharon Cassady, both of Dows, and Marlene Williams of Williams; sons, Donald Johnson and Merlin Johnson, both of Dows; eight grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Peterson of Dows; and sisters, Agnes Greaves of Hemet, Calif., and Helen Christopher of Algona. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one daughter and one son.
