Richard E. Simpson, 75, Clarion, died Friday (Sept. 6, 1996) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at Willim Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Richard E. Simpson was born March 2, 1921, near Webster City. Survivors include his wife, Pearl; two sons, Loren E. of Rock Island, Ill., and David W. of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Dean, of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
